A Brutal Awakening - My Aura Identity Guard Suite Experience

A Brutal Awakening - My Aura Identity Guard Suite Experience

On a day colored by the monochromatic shades of grief, an unexpected blow was dealt, served cold by Aura Identity Guard Suite. A day that could have marked the peaceful end of my membership transitioned into a nightmarish reality of financial implications and a policy that stood as an uncaring edifice in the backdrop of personal loss.

While ensconced within the unforgiving walls of a hospital, cradling the lingering echoes of my father’s departure from this world, I made an attempt to cancel my membership. Yet, my digital plea fell on infertile grounds, as I wrestled with the app to no avail. The interface, once a herald of protection, now became an un-scalable fortress to my desperate calls for cancellation. This dam erected between me and my intention was not enough; they proceeded to draw funds from my account, preying upon silence and misfortune.

Come the following day, hope washed over me with the possibility of connecting with a human at the other end of all this - Dominique. However, this wave of solace broke against the steadfast and brutal reality of Aura’s ironclad policy. There were no refunds, not even for reasons cloaked in pain and necessity, as heavy as the burden of arranging for one’s final honor – a cremation.

The veil was lifted from Aura Identity Guard’s muscular facade to reveal a heart devoid of empathy, remorse, and consideration. The funds evaporated from my account without prior warning, leaving behind a trail of desperate emails and irrefutable evidences bearing testimony to my claim.

It is in this moment of agonizing retrospection and active warning that I lay bare my experience. Beware the lure of Aura’s services, shrouded in promises that dissolve when truly tested. Seek alternative safeguards; do not let their policies trap you in a vortex of loss and financial despair. The disheartening lack of human touch in their customer service is a bitter pill to gulp down; thus, it is best to steer clear lest you find yourself adrift in the same painful sea that I am currently navigating.

Remember, there is power in choosing right and being empowered - let this be your navigation map in a world filled with choices. Avoid my fate, choose wisely, and stay shielded.

dude if you want to warn people about a scummy company try talking like a normal person and just say what you need to say

Bro I’m stupid simple words and phrases please.

I’ve not used Aura, I’m skeptical of the apps that are being pushed to profit off of the mass amount of fraud right now. What was your experience like? I hope you’re doing okay

Just now tuning in. Your post cracked me up and saved me at the same time. I was looking at Experian ID Works and came across articles about Aura being rated #1. The comments that your post prompted are funny as well. Thanks for the rant.

Thanks for the warning , was just about to install the app! Can’t really trust anybody anymore, very sad!

Firstly, I would like to address the issue of poor customer service. Throughout my tenure with Aura, I have encountered numerous instances where the customer service representatives have been unresponsive and difficult to reach. This lack of timely assistance has left me feeling frustrated and unsupported.

Furthermore, I have noticed what I can only describe as scam-like policies implemented by Aura Identity Guard Suite. These policies seem to prioritize profit rather than genuinely protecting customers’ identity and personal information. It deeply concerns me that a company in the business of providing identity protection services would engage in such practices.

Moreover, I have come to realize that the services provided by Aura Identity Guard Suite are not offering anything substantial that cannot be done independently. The features and tools promised by the company can be easily replicated by free or more affordable alternatives available on the market. As a result, I find it difficult to justify the significant financial investment required to maintain my subscription with Aura.

Given these concerns, I have decided to terminate my subscription with Aura Identity Guard Suite. They also do not give refunds under any circumstances not even for military personnel on leave from deployment for a family funeral.

Friends and Supporters,

I wanted to take a moment to provide you all with an update on the situation I recently shared on multiple social media platforms. It fills my heart with gratitude to inform you that in the wake of my post, I received an overwhelming amount of positive support. Many individuals came forward, sharing their stories of being similarly taken advantage of. Your outpouring of solidarity and empathy was truly touching.

In an unexpected turn of events, just one day after my post, I received a second email stating that my account had been cancelled. Initially, this puzzled me as I had already received a cancellation notice. But then, a glimmer of hope appeared and a ray of light emerged from the darkness.

Shortly after that second email, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I had been refunded the annual subscription fee. I still don’t know what exactly happened, what caused them to change their minds and do the right thing, but what matters most is that someone within that company took action. To that person, if you are reading this message, I want you to know how deeply grateful we are.

This refund could not have come at a more divine moment. With the money, I was able to ensure that the cremation of my beloved family member could be properly arranged and taken care of. I cannot put into words how much this act of kindness has meant to me and my family during such a difficult time.

To each and every one of you who shared my story, offered support, and stood with me, I extend my most sincere appreciation. Your collective voices made a difference, and together we created a wave of change. It reaffirms my belief in the power of community and reminds us all that when we lift each other up, incredible things can happen.

Once again, to the guardian angel within Aura Identity Guard, I want you to know that your actions did not go unnoticed. Our hearts are filled with gratitude, and we thank you from the bottom of our souls.

Frankly I’m wary of anything that is advertised through YouTubers. The things they hawk tend to have this common theme of being uniquely scam adjacent, if not outright scams. Like Raid Shadow Legends isn’t a scam, but it’s definitely implementing all the shady freemium-profit-off-kids-with-parents-CC-and-gambling-addict tactics. Then of course Kamikoto knives which would actually sell you knives, just marked up by ungodly amounts because they took the cheapest possible kitchen knives and implied they were forged by ancient Japanese masters. So when I heard about Aura I didn’t immediately have hope. It seems like these ad spots are largely taken up by shitty companies that know they can pump ad money to have YouTubers do their dirty work for them, and the YouTubers are usually not making Mr Beast money, so they’re actively looking for someone to do business with to just hit their target that month/year. The whole thing seems questionable to me to be honest.

But that’s how I heard about Aura and this was one where I have been seeing it everywhere. I decided to look it up before making any purchases and I’m sure as shit glad that I did. If you look at their page on the BBB they have an A+ rating but the customer reviews are 1.11/5 stars from 36 reviews as of this writing. They have 75 customer complaints filed against them, 42 of them within the last 12 months. All of the complaints look like they have been resolved but if you actually sit and read through the cases and the reviews it doesn’t paint an extremely bright picture. Every single time someone submitted a complaint or poor review, they would point out how it was somehow their fault. Even in the complaints where there were pretty cut and dry instances of Aura being in the wrong it seems like what they do is just refund the money and then imply the customer was still somehow wrong or unreasonable. It just seems like one of these companies that, AT BEST, doesn’t have their shit together because they’ve grown too big, too fast, and have left a lot of people just bobbing in the wake without life jackets. Seems like they make them whole, eventually, (if it’s publicly brought up on the BBB website) but overall it just doesn’t inspire confidence.

Sorry for the weird rant, especially in response to another weird rant. Hopefully I’m wrong. I just don’t think they look super trustworthy.

Was that a script for a Broadway play or a review?

What the fuck… are you writing a novel or something

My Aura review; -1. I signed up after watching a YouTube promotion. Never was able to login. Customer service wait time was never ending. Text message with support was fruitless . We can’t verify your identity , calll support. #3 to cancel was immediately answered. “We don’t give refunds on monthly billing. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

Your wording which is by choice is not as incomprensible as it is an attempt at oversimplication. A motivation on your part could be a Narcissistic exaggeration detailing your experience with AURA. Granted there r many bogus entities out there to be cautious of …however PLEASE!! In your future experiences either “good” or “bad” maybe u might adjust your experiences & WORDING in plain & simple terms SOooo the emphasis on your choice of WORDS does not MASKED your MESSAGE…

This seems like you described your circumstances and then had chatgpt rewrite in the style of your favorite author. If I’m wrong, let that be a comment to your writing prowess.

Been thinking about an identity theft plan but how do you know who to trust or believe in this world any longer? Everyone is the best to hear them tell it promising the world and delivering no more than they have to all the while making you fight for every inch of help.

Not reading all that ^^ I’ve been on hold for 2 hours just waiting to speak with someone. After the first hour of waiting they straight up hung up on me without ever answering the phone. Now I’m almost another hour in and I bet they’re just gonna do it again.

Don’t you think you’re being a bit dramatic, Headley?

Many work the same way as Aura for billing. You pay for the year and no refunds. That’s just how it is. They are no different. They won’t keep billing you after that time if you cancel and you can keep using the service until the expiration date. I’m using them now and it has been about 8 months. Recently they informed me my SSN was found on the dark web. I was able to look it up on a tool police and private investigators use which was free to the public after a recent major leak. I found that Aura was right. Aura listed what I should do to protect myself. I put a freeze on the three major credit bureau’s, an alert on my property deed, and made some banking alerts. To me the service has already paid for itself.

After reading your review I have to say I am hesitant to trust any service. Is there anything?

How beautifully poetic . Sounds like a Son I once had wrote .
