… also free VPN is a nonsense mostly. VPN provider has to make money somehow as infrastructure and hosting are not free. So if user does not pay directly, very likely provider try to monetise by selling user data or doing other dirty tricks - which defies the purpose of VPN (security/anonymity).
NordVPN uses OpenVPN. They do provide some fancy Linux client, but there is no need to use it. They provide VPN profiles which can be used by standard OpenVPN client.
Just because they don’t provide a rpm package doesn’t mean it doesn’t work on Fedora. The client is open-source, and written in Go which is generally very compatible. You should probably be able to compile it and run on Fedora, provided the docs are correct and not lacking.
https://protonvpn.com/ has good Linux support for all distros, but their free plan is a little limited and it probably lacks exactly the services you’re after.
