Anyone using 5 yet? Can’t find any reviews on it since it’s so new. Looking for opinions. Mostly if it works well in 2000+ user environments.
Been using it since April was beta testing it. I have no reported issues I’m tracking today in my environment. I’m using every module but the cloud firewall. Cloud management within secure x is a life saver. Ability to change deployments based on new features or groups is amazing. Basically you can start small, build different deployments and features and once tested and working your environment, you can move everyone to it. And 5x is a rebrand of the the 4.x, the code is still the same. If you want some more details on it there’s a good ciscolive presentation on it. You can always still deploy your traditional methods. My issue is not every client was running the same version or profiles and we wanted that solved at scale. It has been now.

Do you need any additional subscription for cloud deployment/management?
I remember anyconnevt had some issues on non-admin user account for updates, is that the same in the new client version?
There was no cost for device insights and cloud management, but that is due to using secure x platform. If you don’t have any security products from Cisco, you might not have secure x, but if you do its free.
“The product is absolutely free to any customer. As such, the only thing one must keep in mind is that as long as he already has one Cisco security product, irregardless of what that product is, SecureX is available for free."
Did not have this issue on machines before in anyconnect 4.x, but our deployment methods have the proper rights to install these. Our applications like carbon black and secure endpoint allow the installation and we don’t have user permission issues for updates.
Curious to know the answer to this.
