That’s about right, I did the same - got a subscription in aus but the prices will always show US currency. So the calculation you did is correct and they will bill you 110 (mine was 120 aud)
For those curious, they’re still doing this. It’s especially annoying because they even mention Australian GST at checkout which makes you think it would be in AUD.
Honestly, it should be illegal for checkout pages not to confirm the currency type somewhere.
Surfshark, Private Internet Access, and Mullvad all correctly list their currency at pricing page or checkout, including as AUD if that’s where you’re visiting from.
I recently purchased NORD. Whatever I tried it never connected. iPhone and laptop. Doa. Their customer service was terrible. Just sent form letters telling me to try this and that and nothing worked.
Tbh (I might be wrong) most vpns companies always show USD, we as the consumer always have to do the maths ourselves. If I remember correctly, only cyber ghost will show aud pricing but yeah express vpn also displayed USD currency as well.
I completely agree, they have to fix this. Also I heard nord keeps charging even after you cancel the subscription. So yeah for now definitely research into other options
