I find torguard better than those 2. And miles away from the hyped nordvpn.
Check this public pool on no-log vpns.

Yep! Tons of servers in the US, most that I tried are working just fine.
Try torguard. They even have a 7 days trial now.
Yep I heard that they were borderline useless during the national holiday week, same as express. Astrill still worked fine though I had to deviate to some more exotic server locations - Bosnia, Macedonia, Albania, Cyprus worked just fine.
Now I’m back to normal.
They expire after 14 days, for reasons I can’t begin to understand. Let me know from what date you’ll need it exactly and I’ll PM you just in time!
I don’t, those servers are in the US and optimized for use in China.
I just spent 3 weeks in China. (July-August 2019). I was able to access Google and banned sites without problems. (Option: “Obfuscated Servers”).
I was mainly to Yichang, Hubei province.
I used my Android smartphone and my Windows 10 ultrabook with NordVPN applications.
The connection depended on the device used. (Japan, United Arab Emirates, and even Switzerland because the connection was faster. Hard on Singapore and never on Hong Kong).
I was using Wi-Fi and a Chinese 4G LTE SIM card from “China Telecom”.
Obviously the connection was sometimes lost. But overall I am very happy to have chosen NordVPN. This goes through the Great Firewall of China (GFW) !
I have not tested or references regarding another VPN in China.
But to surf normally, for music or YouTube, WeChat, Signal, etc. no problem.

Right. And also, A LOT of it depends on the particular ISP. I noticed that I had a lot less trouble with VPNs of all kinds when I was using university web services.
Why would they allow the VPN in that case? Flytrap?
Not in mine. I usually needed to pay a few bucks extra to get it; but it’s saved my ass a little when they’d put the cosh on the other tunnels.
Hi, I’d also like a referral code!
Haaaaa i get it now, thanks for the clarification
The university should be using an MPLS connection through Hong Kong.
Yep. Knowing people will use it anyway if they really want to, that way they’ll at least still be able to monitor all traffic.
YES. Sadly, though their University ISP’s are more tolerant of VPN, they aren’t quite THAT enlightened.
Would also love one too… leaving in four days
