I’ve never used one before, but after doing some research on what a VPN is, I am most certainly going to start.
Can anyone recommend a good one to use on the App Store? I’ve looked and there are just way too many to sift through.
Thank you in advance!
I use Surfshark it’s pretty good.
Late response, but Mozilla offers a VPN that’s available for iOS now.
Mullvad is my favorite of the VPNs on any device.
PIA is good – many servers and options in general, no logs.
ProtonVPN is Swiss, no logs.
others: NordVPN, VirtualShield; I don’t know too much about these other than people also recommend these.
I’d say start with something like PIA, don’t commit to a long time period with your purchase, see what it’s like, what features you like, what features you don’t need. Based on that, you can look at other VPNs and switch if you find one that’s more suitable.
I use ProtonVPN and have been happy with it. Functionally it seems as good as any other I’ve used, and I trust their integrity more than other service providers.
Been using PIA for years until recently i noticed alot of disconnects from servers especially when phone locks.
This week im testing out expressVPN and had virtually no issues or disconnects and it is faster than PIA.
ExpressVPN for speed and price.
ProtonVPN for features and Siri Shortcut.
PIA is my personal favorite. Always a great connection fast speeds!
I use PIA and with the wireguard protocol the speed only drops a couple Mbps. Loving it.
Hey, Just wanted to say hello and thanks for the link!
Me too. Given the fact their cheapness and variety of features, it’s a good steal
I used to use Mullvad on computer, but I can not get it to work on IOS via OpenVPN.
Can you pls explain how to? You can DM me. Tks!
I have used PIA for awhile and am happy with it, great on PC/Mac as well
I am such a beginner and am interested in getting PIA. How do i start? App store? Also what is a wireguard protocol, english please? lol
My internet is DSL so the best I get without VPN is just under 5 MBps, and ProtonVPN handled that fine. Upload not so sure, I think most I’ve ever used is about 1 MBps.
You have to sign up for the service by paying your subscription fee on their website. I do mine yearly to save the most. Then you can download the app on your devices and your computer. Signing up gets you 5 devices to use it on. There are different protocols you can use to connect they just use different code for their encryption and are just clicking the button for the kind you want to use. The apps are very user friendly. If you are using a vpn for torrents you can “bind” qbittorrent to the connection PIA uses so that torrents are only downloaded while the vpn is connected.
Ok, thank you. I’ll take a look.
