Bitdefender again deleting legitimate software without the possibility of restoring it

Man, not sure why I keep using this POS software. I always end up with problems with legitimate software getting deleted. I don’t mind that it quarantines it, but it’s never able to restore anything that it deletes without my permission. BD often acts like malware itself.

Bitdefender blocked explorer patcher the other day for me. Super frustrating, I can’t use Windows 11 without it. Hopefully the exceptions I used are good enough to stop it from happening again.

Removing Bit defender from my PC was such a stress relief.

I installed BitDefender and now I am not sure if it made my mouse unrecognizable. I am pissed that no words could ever describe.
I did all of possible solutions and nothing is left anymore to me but to reinstall windows all over again from 0 and deleting all of my files…
During Trojan/Malware being active in my pc, everything worked flawlessly and after installing BitDefender, nothing works anymore.

MalwareBytes >>>>> BitDefender.
I rest my case.

Had that issue earlier this week with BitDefender basically deleting Bitwarden when I try to enable windows hello/biometrics for my extensions in chrome, etc.

Had enough and switched to ESET and no problems now.

Moza Pithouse, simracing software. It just deleted it, blocks and and doesn’t restore it. Had to fully deactivate Advance Protection and reinstall it.

Yeah I’m tired a bit now…

Even Microsoft Defender reacts poorly to that software, don’t blame bitdefender.

This isn’t the first software that BD has done this, so don’t really buy it.

I never have issues with false positives, seems like you download dodgier shit than you should. And if it is a false positive, instead of moaning about it on Reddit contact support.

I had an issue on day one of the release of Black Op 6 Beta. Everything installed and updated correctly (as it should) from the Microsoft Store for the game. As soon as I clicked to launch the BO6 Beta, Bitdefender jumped in and deleted all my BO6 related files and nuked it. I tried to restore it but since it was from the Widows store, it couldn’t retore to a certain folder. I finally got it working after updating Bitdefender to the latest signatures and then having to reinstall it the game. I then had trouble running the software because it was not clear that Bitdefender also blocked the executables on in the firewall.

Oh, I’ve had Bitdefender block Windows restore point creation. I guess Windows is dodgy. And I have ticket numbers and confirmation from their support too.

Now I call bs :joy: (respectfully)

Boom.

This is a post made by you? :joy: It could detail whatever you type in it

Yes, but I have a private ticket, and there are multiple people there verifying my experience.

Doesn’t prove a thing

It does. BD is shit at false positives. I’m perfectly fine with it being overzealous, what I can’t stand is that it doesn’t let you know sometimes, or that it deleted things without being able to properly restore them.
