Bot detection on websites

I am an absolute total noob, so please bear that in mind before answering my question.

I used to have express VPN for about 3 years, I liked it but for the last 2 months it became very, very slow when I contacted it to LTE on my phone and after a week of trying to get anyone on the support side to help me and couldn’t find anybody, I canceled the subscription.

Went with proton and the speed is all over the place. But my biggest issue is that any website I visit, they easily detect I use VPN and I either have to go through multiple steps to show I am not a bot, or I am blocked outright. I change the server location on the map (in the app) and it works for a few mins but then again I get detected and I’m back to square one.

With Express, I only had this issue when I used the servers located in Canada (where I live) but with Proton every single country has this issue.

Any solution for this? If I have to learn more about configuration, can one of you please recommend a website or a video that you think would be helpful for someone with my knowledge and noobiness?

Thanks in advance for the help.

This has nothing to do with the VPN service. Many web sites unfortunately block IP of VPN servers. I have tried many VPNs and they have similar issues.

With Proton VPN, depending on the web site, you have to go through Captchas to get in to the web site. But with Proton VPN it is very secure compared to most other VPNs due to their strict no log policy.
