Hey! I was thinking about buying EA PLAY PRO with a vpn set to Turkey using a revolut card! Does anyone have any tips for me, or even a step by step tutorial? Much appreciated!
EDIT: I got it working! So, since I’m getting so many dms, here is a guide on how I did it!
1- I got my revolut card and I made a virtual one with Turkish liras.
2- I opened nord vpn, and set it to ARGENTINA, not turkey
3- I selected ea play pro, and in the payment screen I set the card region to the real one (Portugal)
4- Done!

*EDIT: Sadly this method has been patched and no longer works. Going through Argentina now only displays USD values.
Managed to get it done using tuxlerVPN and an Up mastercard (Australian), was definitely a pain to. If it helps this is what I did:
Log on to the EA play website (log in is the icon at the top right)
Click your profile icon in the top right then click account settings. Go to the payment methods tab and enter in a payment method, a virtual Up mastercard worked for me. Set that as your primary method.
Download a VPN that connects to Argentina, I used tuxlerVPN.
Make sure you are signed out of the EA app. Launch tuxlerVPN and set the residential location to Argentina.
Now open the EA app and log-in (make sure this is the app and not the EA play website, although it might still be possible to purchase ea play pro using the website).
Click the EA play tab then click memberships, you should see an annual membership for $10499 ARG, if not then try reloading ur VPN.
Click the annual membership and the payment method that you saved on the website should pop up, all you have to do is verify it with your card’s cvc code.
You should then be able to make the purchase, cost me $46.55 AUD
Log out of the EA app and turn off the VPN, re-log in and you should see EA play pro under your profile name in the app.
I have bought the previous games over VPN before for a cheaper price but never the subscription. It is highly likely to work. However you just have to understand that technically yes, EA could remove the subscription as it violates the TOS. I’ve never seen it…but yeh. Technically they are within their rights to ban the account.
For this reason, use a new account! Then your other games arent at risk.
I also stress I’ve only done this on previous games. EA could well of changed practice and tried to region-lock it since. If they did do that, you’d have to play on the Turkish VPN as well. BTW check Mexico prices also lol.
It’d make sense to get a month (not a year) to see if it works out, in case it doesn’t?
As far as how to do it. Log onto VPN and buy the game on your web-browser on your account instead of in the app. Then once purchased log out and in on the app again. You don’t really want to connect the purchase with the session on the application.
Clear all cookies and site data also after connecting to the VPN, on your browser. Then go ahead and purchase.
OK i’ve tried this a million times over the past week. I can get my UK bank card, my Revolut cards all set up as payment methods. As soon as I try to pay whilst in Turkey/Argentina VPN it fails.
I’ve just tried using my Revolut card for a one month EA Play (standard) purchase for £3.99 to test if its the card, and that works fine, so my conclusion is that this is related to VPN and EA blocking the final payment via VPN.
I’ve tried Tuxler and ive tried Nord VPN, both allow me to get a payment verification in Revolut but not the final actual payment.
Which VPNs have people used that have been successful?
Just done this in the UK and can confirm it worked finally, took a few attempts with different cards. I bought a VPN that had an Argentina location, went on incognito and made sure it showed 10499.00 ARS for the annual cost. Then logged in and checked out using a normal Natwest Debit Card and payment went through right away after confirming the payment on the app. Nice yearly pro subscription for £24.26.
Revolut straight up didn’t work and Lloyd’s after confirming payment on the app didn’t go through and came up with an error. I then waited like 6 hours before trying again when it worked first time with Natwest.
If it doesn’t show 10499,00 for the annual cost then you need to close the incog tab and then disconnect from the VPN and reconnect and get a different IP and keep trying because sometimes it will show the price in USD and shit.
Can anybody help me? I have already tried 6-8 cards, both Mastercard and Visa and it doesn’t work. Some of them from Revolut. It always rejects my payment in the last step.
anyone paid with visa not mastercard and it went through i tried 3 different visa cards all been refused i tried added to payment methods on the account and directly when checking out both failed ive tried Argentine and turkey
Thank you all for your efforts. EA converted the exchange rate in Turkey to dollars, and because of your desire to buy it cheaper, I had to cancel my subscription because I could not afford the prices that tripled overnight.
