Can I create a hotspot that uses the VPN connection from an Android phone?

Hello,

I’ve tried creating a mobile hotspot while the Mullvad VPN app is connected and I noticed that the laptop connected to my hotspot has a normal IP (non-Mullvad).

I cannot install the Mullvad VPN on the laptop that is connected to the hotspot as I don’t have admin rights. Is there a possible workaround here?

Only if the phone is rooted:

P.S.
It’s pretty easy to get admin rights on any device you have physical access to

Thanks, unfortunately the phone I’m using has CalyxOS so root access is out of the question. So there’s no way of doing it without root access :frowning:

Regarding the other thing, it’s a Windows 11 laptop I have from work so I’m not sure if there’s any workaround for the admin rights.

I really want to get this on stock android with no root but i don’t know how to. I tried to search online for solutions but still nothing. Does anyone know how to enable that feature even with adb on stock android?

Well I think they ported this feature into the OS.

Should be under hotspot settings.

I didn’t know that. Thanks!
