Corporate greed

Before the debut of Bjorn, I made a comment predicting Kabam would conveniently forget to put Bjorn coins in chests and events just to force players to buy the content pass. I was half right, the coins were put in the chests, but not events. It’s the 7th event since Bjorn’s appearance, and every single champion had their coins appear in the reward track at least 3 times, Lilu, Polonia and Rudo coins even appeared 5 times, but not once Bjorn coins.

Kabam, no one is going to gem chests for a champion that is only useful twice a month, the only flash quests people interested are shards and scrolls. Perhaps consider spending those efforts on fixing your bug-ridden game instead of squeezing every gem out of your playerbase.

How is this greed? They make money to continue functioning with new content. There are no ads. I’m f2p and couldn’t care less that it takes me longer than some to level new champions

People have already gemmed chests to get his coins. Not sure why you would think that whales wouldnt? Whales are just gonna whale.

And they need to make money somehow. Or do you think that making the game (including fixing bugs) doesn’t cost any money?

That happened with Ashley, too. He’ll start popping up in reward tracks soon enough.

I half blame them because maintaining and developing any app costs a lot. Even a small team of 10 members will cost 50k/month(min) and it’s just salaries.

There was optional ads at one point, but only in certain regions. Kabam told us to use a VPN which is something advertisers would hate.

Wow, I thought Ashley was a she

The developer keep making terrible mistakes with the code. Maybe new programmers and dealing with code from previous people, or just need to have way more time to learn and code properly.

The app is riddled with bugs or features not fully implemented (like Steam API stuff).

On one hand we have a game so good, that it is worth dealing with all the issues. But on the other hand some very questionable things do happen often.

…we’re talking about Bjorn.

You assumed a video game character’s gender based on how they look and dress?! You primitive savage

IMO It’s not developer’s mistake rather QA or processes behind CI/CD and pushing to production. However, I agree there are a couple of bugs currently live.

Yes, but they were comparing the droppings to Ashley.
