Couldn’t watch US tv shows from another country using NordVPN MiBox

Hey guys, just wanted to ask if anyone is doing the same as me and having connectivity issues like “hulu has detected that you are using a vpn”, “disney+ is not available in your country” or just won’t have an option to play an episode in Hulu just browse thru the list can be done.

I was having no issues doing that for the previous month and even before that using the same vpn. I am not sure if this is a vpn issue or more of a platform issue. Because I can still access US Streaming sites thru my ipad/mac with nordvpn on.

Anyways, if we have a similar case do you have any resolution for this issue? I hope you can share it with me.

When such errors appear, what usually helps is reinstalling/clearing the streaming apps cache. You can also try disabling Threat Protection Lite and connecting to different servers to check if that helps

I got the same issue and in the exact same device. It started to happen two weeks ago and nothing works and it’s frustrating. I mean on mobile and laptop works fine but i guess you understand me because it’s just so much comfortable with a mibox. I’ve tried everything, clear cache, force stop, uninstall and reinstall the app, try every server available and nothing works :confused:

USER: it shows cloudflare because in the nordvpn app I selected 1.1.1.1 DNS, with nordvpn automatic dns doesn’t work neither

USER: But with the cloudflare dns it shows uk and it gives the same exact problem :confused:

With nordvpn dns dnsleak shows Frankfurt, but with cloudflare dns (1.1.1.1) it shows UK. After the chat I tried the google’s DNS (8.8.8.8), it shows UK but still no Disney+/BBC so I’m pretty sure that there is another problem

Thank you for the update! Even the smartDNS is confirmed to be working too.

I’ve also seen that disabling LAN feature in Nords settings helps, you can give that a go, else try reaching out to their support for more help
