DMCA/Xfinity keeps getting me for pirating sims 4 - how do I get around this?

I downloaded the entire Sims 4 w/ DLC thru FitGirl repack. At first I used uTorrent but didn’t use a VPN. After I got a handful of notices I deleted the game and redownlaoded under a VPN but I’m still getting caught, how do I go incognito? I downloaded with the VPN but didn’t play with it. Does that change anything? Please help! I’m new to this.

1st : Don’t use uTorrent… use qbittorrent

2nd : Need a vpn that has to work with torrents, not all vpns do especially if you are using free ones. Mullvad is my go to for only 5bucks a month. Whatever vpn you use, make sure it’s setup to run through it. Make sure to have a killswitch as well which mullvad has everything you need.

You need to use a VPN . Simplest answer.

Use a VPN but make sure you link the vpn to your torrent program. I was getting the same notices. After I did this I haven’t gotten one since

Are you seeding it still? Drop utorrent immediately. Might be worth you reading the guides.

Laughs in 3rd world country.

It cracks me up that you deleted the game and downloaded it again. Dude, you had the files, got caught and went out of your way to do it again when you could have just played the game. You either didn’t ever use a VPN, or you used a free one. Pay for a VPN, turn it on, download. Once the files are on your PC, they are yours. They can’t find you thru a game you play. Only through torrent downloads. Use a good VPN and next time don’t delete the game once you already have the files.

Edit: also, don’t play pirated games online. That’s asking for trouble too. From EA tho, not your ISP.

Bro deleted the game to redownload it thinking it would be a better option😭

How are people so technologically incompetent hahahahahaha

Ok, so they might have gotten you when you were torrenting.

When torrenting your basically yelling “This is my IP address, send me these files”, any of your peers can hear this. If an EA lawyer is listening, they can then send you a dmca notice through your ISP.

The solution is to use a VPN when torrenting, that way you are anonymous.

Another thing, you don’t actually have to delete the files on your PC (maybe so legally speaking), that’s just something you say
