Thats what I’d be focusing on.

Cost me about £10 extra for a month to use my English contract in the US without additional costly fees, was fine with it.

No, just make sure your plan works in Mexico, which has nothing to do with a VPN. If it doesn’t, most companies let you buy an addon. Worst case scenario you buy a SIM card at any Oxxo, which is like a Mexican 7-Eleven, they are everywhere.

I use Thunder. I don’t know if it’s good, but it’s free
