In Europe we run into Asian players all the time (150-200 ping) so we want to try and play on US servers to get away from them. However I am unable to find lobbies neither with NordVPN or ExpressVPN - it sort of looks like that Activision has some kind of anti-VPN implemented.
Does anyone know how to get around this? There must be a way because of all the Asian players are able to do it.
I feel your pain man. I’m currently slumming it qatar and I run into so many chinese and russian hackers. The only way you can do it is make some american friends, preferably east coasters. Have them host the games and boom, no chinese people.
You want to avoid high ping players by becoming a high ping player in another region?
I believe you can change your region in the battle.net launcher.
Just commenting to see if you ever found a workaround for this, i recently purchased nord vpn. I connect to NA or anywhere outside of EU fine, launch the game OK then it sits at “searching for a match <200ms” forever, really not sure what the workaround is, there must be one out there as people do use it.
It seems that the solution is Express VPN and if you’re in EU then connect to Egypt. Simple as that…

I am so done with this fucking game, it’s just sad man. Not only the performance is deteriorating with each patch (less fps and more glitches) but also the sheer amount of hackers is just insane. Activision does not give a shit and all my friends are dropping the game since we just can’t enjoy it anymore in our region.
I didn’t want to elaborate but the problem is not with high ping but the insane amount of blatant hackers. I am just done with this shit on EU servers. Most of the cheaters are Asians.
We hop on and get aimbotted and walled 3 out of 4 games. When we play with our friend in the US we win games with the same ratio. Problem is I don’t want to rely on that particular person to be able to enjoy the game.
I would gladly pay a premium fee (be it any vpn provider or directly to activison) to be able to play without cheaters. EU crossplay lobbies (we play PC) are literally unplayable in our bracket (2.2 KD, 240+ wins) right now.
Unfortunately that only changes the login server, it still puts you into Eu lobbies.

The reason you’re getting smacked around is cuz you’re on a VPN. activision isn’t stupid. They put you on vpn lobbies. Play normally. Way less cheaters. I’ve been a VPN subscriber for a decade now for movies only. Not gaming with one lol.

Nothing actually. I’ve helped out plenty of people on old posts before. It’s never too late to learn something. Searching for bot lobby’s on vpn ship has sailed and is extremely immature anyway. VPN gaming is literally made for sweats and cheaters
