Forcing new user login on windows bootup

Hi all, I don’t know if this is possible at all or not, but has anyone tried a script or something to force users to log into the zscaler app on windows startup? Specifically if a user has never logged into the zscaler app before. We have the logout set with a password, so once they login, they can’t log out without knowing the password. We have roughly 500 users left that we are trying to get logged in so we can remove the old web filtering software and old vpn. We currently have ZIA and ZPA. Thanks!

strict enforcement disables internet access until the user logs in.

If VPN is critical to users, just pull their access. Sometimes hard cutover is the best option.

Strict enforcement will also force them to login before internet access is allowed.

Good to know! Didn’t think about this option. Thanks!

Is there a way to turn on Strict Enforcement after the Zscaler app is installed?

I actually didn’t think about the strict enforcement option. Thanks! I will give this a try

Rerun the installer with those options, should be no user interruption in most cases.

No. Its an install flag only unfortunately

Good deal, thanks! I’ll will give this a try in the morning.

Dang, ok. So I’ll have to uninstall the app from those users and reinstall it. That’s gonna suck lol

Can it be enabled via an upgrade install? Most of my users are on 4.1.x and I could push out an upgrade to 4.2.x with the strict enforcement syntax. Do you think that would work?

I’ve honestly never tried that - I usually just use the auto upgrade.
