It looks like you shared an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of concerns over privacy and the Open Web. Fully cached AMP pages (like the one you shared), are especially problematic.
Maybe check out the canonical page instead: https://appleiphonetips.us/google-fi-apn-settings/

I’ve used it in Mexico and Turks and Caicos. No issues in either.
Oh good to know! I downloaded vpn right before I got here. I’ll try that.
Thanks Justin! Sending a message now.
Italy just does what it wants.
I never did figure out what the problem was (I’m OP). Once i went to Florence, it just started working. When i went back to Milan, it worked again (even though it didn’t work initially). Now I’m in Rome, and no problems. It seemed to need a couple days to connect. Fi support was zero help, and all the troubleshooting steps didn’t actually help. Once i gave up, it started working. If you need your daughter to be able to connect with you, i would go to a local cell phone store and see if you can get her a temporary. So frustrating.
Make sure you have international roaming turned on in your Google fi app.
Thank you! We’re going to go the route of getting a local SIM, I guess. Just hoping Google will give some kind of discount for the issue
Ahh good question. It’s not telling me a lot in the Google fi app…it says unlimited data? Google fi customer service confirmed it was international. Not sure if that’s helpful.
Thanks! I’m back in Milan and it’s magically working again. No clue what the initial issue was!
Found it. It’s Unlimited Plus
You may have no other option than reinstall esim. Perhaps Fi support can walk you through the process. Just make sure they know you are out of the country, and need to authenticate over wifi which should still work even if it fails.
How long have been with GF before you left to travel internationally?
Some folks sign up very soon before they travel and will cancel when they return.
I’ve had fi for years now.
