Got my first DMCA letter using FastestVPN

New here…So I got two DMCA previous to purchasing FastestVPN lifetime a couple of years ago. Enabled the killswitch, and bound qbittorrent to VPN via TCP. Still not enough and recently got my third DMCA from ATT. I tried this killswitch test: https://www.top10vpn.com/guides/vpn-kill-switch and FastestVPN fails every time (when switching between servers). Uninstalled vpn and tried openvpn without the buggy app using this tutorial: https://support.fastestvpn.com/tutorials/windows/openvpn like Rightinformation suggests https://www.reddit.com/r/FastestVPN/comments/okhofj/guide_torrent_setup_with_openvpn_qbittorrent_on Problem is that openvpn is now leaking ipv6 and dns, so like now what? (disabling ipv6 on ethernet adapter did not help)

FastestVPN chat clowns are useless, and since I paid for this service, I would like to keep using if I can make it reliable again. I enabled firewall rules to only allow Qbit through the vpn ethernet connection, but I’m paranoid about getting a fourth DMCA…will ATT cut me off?

Thanks for any help.

One important step in torrent clients is configuring them to only use the interface from the VPN in the settings, even if you have faulty kill switch, the torrent client being bound to the network interface prevents it from using your regular internet

Hi there,

Basically FastestVPN is still buggy when it comes to ipv6. I haven’t had any issues on ipv4. But can test in-depth if you’d like. Which protocol where you using?

What did FastestVPN support say might be the problem?

i find the pc client leaks unless you only use IKEV2.

remember to checkmark “internet kill switch” as
any new version updates may disable that setting.

despite their own support advising TCP/UDP use in their support script
when you email complain you can’t clamp any of their servers for long.

SIKNM had "auto-reconnect’ setup on their Wi-Fi connection in Windows. FastestVPN woud cut the connection, then Windows would immediately reconnect and the Xfer justs keeps a going. SIKNM also had 2.4G and 5G wifi connections set to auto-reconnect. 5G connection severed by fastestvpn, then 2.4G would autoconnect. Busted! Fyi I suggest going to ipleaktest every time you want to use it. I’ve never seen leaks on any protocol detected.

Thanks for the reply. Chat just said to try disabling ipv6 on the vpn adapter which did not work. They said to uninstall openvpn and reinstall the app then go to device manager and delete all the adapter protocol drivers and reboot. After rebooting, connecting to servers improved alot and no leaks were detected. Also I was able to use Ikev2, which had never worked for me. I retested the kill switch which still fails when switching between servers, but does pass if I just disconnect from server. So I’m still not trusting this vpn 100%. It sucks that I have to use the App in order to stop the leaks, instead of being able to use plain vanilla openvpn.
