I’d done some VPN research, it seems way more complicated than how it works on iPhone, can I share one VPN account with Apple TV ?

Just stream your phone to your TV. Most TVs have that feature built in now.

Most newer Chinese TVs don’t share screens with an iPhone, but we can stream anything from a MacBook with an HDMI cable. Still, it’s not the same as the convenience of AppleTV itself. I hear that Shadowrocket works perfectly well. I’m only now beginning to figure out how. If anyone knows how to use/connect this app, please elaborate.

Can you run me through how you do that. I currently have Shadowrocket on all my devices except the Apple TV. How do configure it on Apple TV if there’s no web browser. Thank you in advance
Define ‘newer’ please. My friend bought a TV less than 2 months ago and he can stream just fine.
Have a look in your TV settings if there is one called something like “Wireless file transfer” if it has that, or something similar, it supports it. Then just screencast your device as you would to a projector.

Have you already purchased a node that can be used with Shadowrocket? If you have, you can search for Shadowrocket in the Apple Store on your Apple TV and install it. Then, import the subscription link you’ve purchased to get started. If the subscription link is too long and difficult to enter on the Apple TV, my solution is to buy a cheap domain name for 1 US dollar and resolve that domain name to your subscription link. Afterward, simply enter the domain name into Shadowrocket.
my tv was bought in the past 8 months. Streaming isn’t an issue. Screen sharing between my Xiaomi TV and iPhone doesn’t work.

It should do. Both mine and my friends are Xiaomi (Mi) and work fine with iPhones Airplay.
since you wrote the original comment a while ago, this may no longer be relevant, but I was told that the only the new Apple TV4 can upload apps from the app store. Earlier versions of Apple TV cannot upload apps (such as shadow rocket)

An update to your update. I’m currently running shadow rocket on my Apple TV, not sure which version it is but I got the 2022 4k 126 with the Ethernet ability. I’m assuming it’s the current. The VPN is able to run without any issues.
