How Do I Bind My VPN To QBittorrent With Having Useless Download Speeds?

I would have posted in r/piracy but my comment karma is too low so I have posted it here:

Whenever I bind my VPN to QBittorrent my download speeds reduce from an average of 7MB/S to 868KB/S. I do this binding via the network interface option.

Is there anyway I can bind my VPN to QBittorrent without this occurring?

That would mean that qbit normally isn’t using your VPN.

Thank you, I fixed it by applying the binding just after opening QBittorrent and doing nothing else on it before. It only reduce to an average of 5-6MB/S. If that means it wasn’t actually using my VPN until now I am suprised I haven’t gotten a letter from my ISP as so far I have torrented about 500GBs of games before I asked this question.

Lucky then . Btw if you care about your game download speeds and want to download games at your full Internet bandwidth, look into RealDebrid

When you say “full bandwidth” do you mean using all of your network’s available bandwidth to the point where all other devices’ internet connection becomes unstable or using all of the bandwidth that can be shared to your device? Also what is a regular download speed for torrenting?

Regular download speed for a good torrent is only as fast as it’s being uploaded. Usually 5 mb/s (40 Mbps) and never faster than 20 mb/s (160 Mbps). When I say full bandwidth I mean you will download the file/game as fast as a speedtest result. Whether or not it will make all other devices unusable is up to you, by setting speed limits and device priority in your network. With realdebrid your download speed will be up to 125 mb/s (1000 Mbps)
