How do you watch F1 TV on a TV?

Glad to hear that

Blimey thatā€™s cheap!

Can you dumb this down for me? I have an Android TV, is there an F1 TV app I can install directly?

Ah the new Chromecasts which are actually Android TV sticks, gotcha.

How is that overall? I have an Android TV but Sony have basically broken it. Iā€™m tempted to just get a Chromecast with Google TV for the ā€œjust worksā€ factor

If you need help, hmu

Thanks, Iā€™ll give it a go. I already have a 3 year subscription to NordVPN, but the ability to view multiple feeds would be cool.

When you sell exclusive rights to someone, geoblocking is a thing.

Try starting a stream over airplay and then turning your phone off? I know thatā€™s possible with Chromecast because like you say the Chromecast itself gets the stream directly, and the phone is just effectively a remote.

Yes, on the Play Store in the TV, search up F1 and there should be one called F1 Viewer or something along those lines

In Canada we always complain about how expensive things are here compared to the United States; then we see the prices in the UK and weā€™re a lot more grateful

They work great for me after replacing two Rokus with them. The F1TV app did work great on Roku but after too many issues with them (apps not working, crashes, etc.) including reboots of a new TCL TV I gave up.

Thanks, Iā€™m on Android so Iā€™ll give that a go using G Pay.

Just tried this and discovered that I canā€™t seem to AirPlay VOD content, it keeps trying then I get a network playback error, but VOD content plays just fine on the device.

I wonder if AirPlay handles live streams differently.

I just tried searching F1 and nothing came up. Is it available on Samsung TV? Samsung TVs donā€™t run Android TV OS.

Yeah Iā€™ve tried that app on my TV but its stuttery as hell (as is Netflix, Prime and Disney+ since Sonyā€™s latest update).

Iā€™ve grabbed a CCwGTV as Iā€™ve decided theres enough justification now. Iā€™m pretty pissed my 2 year old TV is basically a dumb TV now. shakes fist at Sony

Someone else in this thread said the same thing about using Airplay for streams but not other content.

I hear ya my new TCL Roku literally would randomly reboot itself at least once a day and really my only other choice was an Amazon Fire stick or the Google TV as we donā€™t have any apple devices here so I ruled out the AppleTV.

Itā€™s not perfect and storage is small but itā€™s worked just fine for my family.

No. G Pay doesnā€™t seem to be an option.

Ohā€¦ Sorry to hear that.
