“Mullvad for example doesn’t support it, but handles torrenting just fine.”
Hahaha. Tell that to someone on private tracker XD. It was but it doesn’t right now.

If all traffic is routed through the VPN
The fear of a VPN failing and me getting fucked (Germany) is the biggest reason I’ve not done any piracy in years. When I read about how kill switches apparently can fail (as in transmit your unprotected IP before killing the connection) I just can’t bring myself to do it.
Can you give an example of this happening? That would require HBO contacting PIA and requesting an IP and then PIA capitulating… Without any real legal pressure to do so, in the US anyway.
Edit: I mean the identity associated with an IP
you sure? i’ve torrented some stuff using a vpn without opening any ports. only had problems with low seeded stuff but i think that’s just cuz it had no seeders
Dude i have expressvpn, and if it doesn’t have port forwarding, i won’t be unable to seed.
