Okay my G’s I know morale is low in high school and Reddit and YouTube are usually blocked because they are old and lame. There are two methods to doing this.
I have found that the blocks are on the internet rather than the computer itself if this isn’t your case than you’re on your own sadly.
Method One: Phone Hotspot
- Log into your computer and have your phone on hand
- Turn on your VPN in settings. (iPhone) If you have unlimited data then you have nothing to worry about in terms of being charged
- The password will be on the same screen you used to turn on your hotspot. Go onto your computer and go into the WiFi options and your hotspot should show up.
- Connect to the hotspot and enjoy your freedom.
This is an option, but not the best one. Someone people don’t have unlimited data or don’t have a phone in school. The connection will often be very slow or might not work at all depending on your carrier. The next method is perfect for everyone and as fast as your school’s WiFi.
Method Two: VPN
- Log into to computer
- Download Chrome if it’s not already on the computer. I’ve found that if you download Chrome even without administrative log-ins it will still work.
- Type chrome store into the search bar and go into the site
- Look up Cow or Hoxx. Both of these are VPNs I use, Hoxx is best, but they have a time limit on free accounts so I use Cow VPN when I’m waiting for my Hoxx account to get unlocked.
- Sign up for Hoxx or turn on the first notch on Cow.
- Choose where you want your IP address to come from. I usually use Lithuania on Cow and Netherlands on Hoxx and it works like a charm. (Good for accessing YouTube videos and content not available in your country)
- If websites don’t load. Turn off the VPN and turn it back on and everything should fine
- Enjoy all the good sweet content you want.
