Since companies seem to lump the uk and Ireland on deals. Eg doctor who not being available in Ireland due to no iplayer and no other options. How can we counteract this
Vpn to the uk for Iplayer
All 4 is the only one that really doesn’t need one most other ones require a vpn
Smart DNS service like getflix.
Or a VPN.
The only instance of the BBC acknowledging that we’re not part of the UK
VPN won’t always work, I use smart dns and it works flawlessly for the last few years. You basically just sign up, change your dns settings to their servers and any traffic for iplayer or Netflix goes through there.
Do you not need to put in your UK TV license number or something to use the iPlayer?
Surfshark is pretty good…
Mullvad is a really good VPN but piracy is cheaper
You need to invest in VPN
Yea I guess, it’s just that we shouldn’t have to do that just to watch some tv
A good vpn always works the free ones are useless nowadays and they are bad for privacy
There is a list you can find to see
To create an account it says you need a valid UK TV licence but you just give a random address
But you still need a vpn to watch after
Well it’s to do with broadcasting agreements it’s not an official service here we just pick BBC up on satellite
Awesome. Cheers for that. Had been wanting to watch some stuff on the iPlayer.
Oh damn, it’s just annoying when you want to watch a show but buerocracy causes otherwise
