If I had a data server locally, I'd enjoy this game way much more (server rant)

I really don’t want to beat a dead horse but the amount of money that Activision, IW has made from this game and cannot even make decent servers or install more across the United States for people who live in less than 500,000 population based cities is beyond frustrating.

When I queue up with people/friends to play with, they have 5-10ms ping but then I have a 50ms ping which results much more in me losing consistent gun fights/trying to play catch up. Then it really deters me from wanting to play this game more and more because the enemy is clearly seeing me first and I’m getting absolutely melted.

States like, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota and even Nebraska do not have local servers for COD players who live in that state to connect to and have to travel further to different states like Colorado or Illinois to even connect to a data center, thus resulting in a higher ping or lag.

If there were more servers for this game I’d be so much more dedicated to it, but it disappoints me beyond means to have one game where I’m 20ms and then all of a sudden 50-53ms and getting shit on.

I would love to play people from Montana , North Dakota, Idaho compared to South American or Europe.

Kinda wish you could region lock what servers you would like to be prioritized in. I would prefer against West Coast vs across the fucking ocean.

Agreed, despite living between two large metropolitan areas in the northeastern US, I would rather play with people from the same region as me. Why am I getting put in lobbies with people from Central and South America where I cannot understand a thing they are saying? That’s the problem when you make the servers include both North and South America instead of splitting them up.

You can, eg. with Exitlag on PC or a Geoblocker via your Router or a Gaming VPN like SBMMOFF or NoLagVPN (some work on console too via DNS settings, but idk for sure).
