There are a number of simple scripts for a number of VPN solutions, but I haven’t found one that includes robust enough obfuscation to bypass DPI.
I’m probably looking for v2ray on top of shadowsocks (preferable option), or obfs4 on top of wireguard, or anything else that’s usable in a China-firewall-like situation. Shadowsocks by itself is easy and good enough (with Outline install script), but not always effective.
And having a script without fiddling with installation too much is important because it can be crucial to deploy new instance fast and maybe while on mobile.
Have you looked at Softether from https://www.softether.org/. I have had good luck with it getting past a lot of firewalls. Its open source and works on Linux, Windows, and MAC.
Do you want to own your own “vpn server” so you can move it as you need to? I am a dev on https://openziti.github.io/. it’s all FOSS, has pretty robust windows/mac/ios/android/linux clients for and is easy enough people like ‘my mother’ can set it up (unless you’re on linux - i mean… my mother couldn’t figure out a terminal and there’s no UI for linux yet)
All your traffic goes out over port 443 (or whatever port you want to configure it on). You can host it whereever you want, it’s a full zero trust overlay and again - all free… If that’s something you’re into setting up. Dunno if that’s the sorta thing you’re looking for or not?
IF your router ever gets black listed you just make a new one and presto - connectivity is back again. Plus you own it all. It’ll easily bypass DPI for whatever sites you want to send through it. It’s also fully split tunnel which is maybe good/bad for your needs. If you want to just send a couple of domains over the zero trust overlay - you can. If you want to send them all well - that’d be tougher.
Might be what you need though. DM me if you want - hit me up on the discourse if you want. I made a reddit for it too but it’s pretty barren still
