Looking for vpn provider with official application for Arch

Just as title says.
Is there any provider with Arch dedicated application? I’m aware that in aur ther is pretty much everything but trying to find official app.

What’s the point? NetworkManager has VPN support, and wireguard is built into the kernel as a module

I feel like picking your VPN based on this criteria is useless at best and insecure at worst.

maybe not exactly what you are looking for, but you can use mullvad VPN directly with wireguard, which you can get without the AUR

Why this obsession with a branded app?

Just set up their wg config & enable (also, check ipleak.net for DNS leaks and use ufw for a firewall).

Would you install a bank of america pdf reader to read a bank of america pdf?

Just add and configure any VPN of your choice manually…

Proton VPN is very Privacy oriented and has a gui app on flatpak that works perfectly on Arch.

Just uw3 mulvad honestly. Been raided by the police before, they willing complied and handed over all the data to them… Which was next to no data because mulvad doesn’t actually keep data on its users.

nordvpn has interface and cli tool and supports wireguard

Mullvad with Wireguard

AirVPN. But I’d say it’s safer and more reliable to import VPN settings into eg. NetworkManager than to install a custom program.

I know ExpressVPN has an official Arch package you can download from their website. It’s not open source so I think the other options might be safer, but I think you get the Lightway protocol with the app.

I’ve got a 3,5 year sub with surfshark. It has native app on linux, i like it. There are some slower servers, but then i just jump to another one.

Windscibe has the same gui client on linux and Windows. You can manually install the *pkg.tar.zst package for Arch linux on their download page with the command: ‘sudo pacman -U filename.pkg.tar.zst’ from terminal. The one in the aur is the same.

Any provider that supports openvpn or wireguard config and can generate it for operating systems can be imported directly into the network manager and connect easily there.

AirVPN & Eddy client.

Based on your requirements, any VPN provider compatible with OpenVPN or Wireguard will work as long as they provide the configuration.

Personally, I’d go for any with Wireguard because of its features and performance. OpenVPN might be supported by many more as it’s easier, and probably businesses involved hire cheaper admins.

Why do you need a VPN? If it’s security, you don’t need it.

Any VPN that allows you to download a Wireguard Config?

Mullvad, Airvpn

I used to use Private Internet Access. They work with both OpenVPN and Wireguard. They also have a dedicated client that worked fine with Arch.
