New to NordVPN, trying to connect to Japanese Netflix - what am I doing wrong?

Got the app, extension for pc browser. I connect to Japanese server via the desktop app and says it connected to Japan. I refresh netflix, and while I am able to get Japanese dubs and subs, I don’t really have a different catalogue.

What am I doing wrong? I would like to see the Japanese catalogue, as I want to watch shows with my GF from her home country. Is the reason why I got NordVPN, so would be grateful for anyone clarifying what I am doing wrong.

Try using incognito mode. Your browser has probably cached that you’re in the US.

If you’re using windows then use the Netflix app or Edge. It should work as it works for me.

Also the windows app and Edge gives 1080p and sometimes 4K whereas chrome and others are limited to 720p.

I am from Austria, but I assume it is the same issue?

More than likely. I had the same issue and this is how I resolved it.
