My internet connection has stopped working with AirVPN. I’m new to using a vpn and torrennting. It was working fine at first but qbittorent won’t even open the torrent file anymore. The download and upload speeds shown on the AirVPN interface are at pretty much zero no matter what server I connect to. Please help.
More information needed. You lose internet connection in a web browser too? What OS are you on? Qbittorrent “won’t even open the torrent file,” what does that mean? How do you have Qbittorrent set up to interact with the VPN? How are you connecting to AirVPN (Eddie, OpenVPN, something else)? Are you doing something funky like running Qbittorrent in Docker, or running AirVPN on your router?
I’m still able to use the web browser through my normal wifi. I just can’t download any torrents because qbittorent is binded to eddie and eddie isn’t working. I’m on windows 10. Qbittorent network interface is is set to eddie and I put the 5 digit port code from airvpn into the connection settings.
I haven’t made any changes to eddie after I downloaded it. I don’t think anything is funky because I haven’t made any changes. Just ran it as it was when it was downloaded
Sounds like a problem either with Qbittorrent or the trackers you’re using. In the bottom status bar in Qbittorrent there should be an icon you can hover over, when you do it’ll tell you about incoming connections. It should be green and look like an Earth, like in this picture: https://www.qbittorrent.org/img/screenshots/linux/2.webp, but if it’s yellow or red instead that could be a problem with AirVPN. Are you using a private tracker? If so, do torrents from public trackers also not work?
