EDIT: Tried Jevoto’s suggesting and changed WireGuard to OpenVPN and now it is working. Thank you!
I just got a new ethernet cord, so that isn’t the issue. If the VON is on, my network automatically connects to the SurfsharkWireGuard thing(network?). The computer still says it is connected to the internet, but nothing loads at all.
If I turn off the VPN, everything goes back to working, and the computer is connected through my home network. I have tried redownloaing the extension for firefox and using that instead of the program on the computer, but I get the same result.
Anyone else have this issue? How to fix? I am thinking of just removing SurfShark and getting mozillas vpn
I had troubles connecting to internet when using Wireguard. The app wouldn’t grab an IP. I went into Advanced Settings and turned on Use small packets and it was like a miracle. Everything worked and worked well. Give it a shot.
Edit: I didn’t see the picture until I posted. I was running Android and Android TV versions.
In my case, using open vpn on dd-wrt, during 2 days looking for solutions for the same problem, no internet.
I just change the lan port in my main router, that was it !lol
Hi there, /u/Inoviridae, thanks for your submission!
Please keep in mind that while some support agents are keeping an eye on here, we still recommend using official channel for more efficient and faster troubleshooting - Surfshark customer support first. You’ll find both e-mail and live chat there. It’s 24/7, so enjoy!
Additionally, please make sure to include as much information as possible, so our agents could troubleshoot more precisely. Thank you!
I had this issue had to change the connection settings automatically (Wire Guard) to OpenVPN (TCP) you may need to try another one. But this fixed the issue for me.
Went through troubleshooting just this evening. Turn off rotating IP. Surfshark servers are supposedly undergoing upgrades. Once I turned off rotating IP, everything went back to working as it should.
Second, you saying that most people are having issues isn’t even anecdotal, it’s hearsay. Provide actual evidence that a majority of users are experiencing issues, and then maybe your statement will be worthwhile.
I don’t need to do your job. You don’t believe me? I don’t care. I’m not screenshotting all of surfshark customer reviews over a month on all social network platforms. You go read them. You enjoy this company? Enjoy. Others are having issues. Nice catch, I’m sure it’s never happened to you. I hope you’re corrected every time as well. I hope people also assume you don’t know the correct spelling.
Holy shit, your issue you bitched about on here not to long ago? Is an issue across the board. (One of many) Don’t need to ride their dick bro. Others not liking this company is fine. It doesn’t affect your ability to use surfshark. Brad is so catty.
Biased and bowing out after deciding to comment. If you don’t have anything, it’s best to not even comment. You don’t mean the latest comment. You’re really saying “I won” “or I’m right and this is pointless” be a man about your comment or don’t comment. It’s bad right now. A lot of issues. You don’t have them? You like them? Great. No need to shit on people experiencing problems. How does it affect you?
Most comments are OF COURSE from people having issues. Maybe you are that person that needs to rave about everything but most people just don’t as they do have a life.
BTW, VPN’s are most likely a little too complicated for the average user, so complaints are normal. That doesn’t make this VPN a bad one. Maybe you just need to work on your skills…
