I use Opera GX and I’ve heard the stuff about the Chinese data selling and the fake vpn and all that… But I do use Express Vpn so is my data still safe or not…? The only reason I really use Opera is because it saves my tabs when I close the browser or turn off my pc and I can’t figure out if other browsers do the same thing I’ve been looking Into Brave but I’m not sure yet…
Other browsers do the same thing. A VPN doesn’t immediately make all your data safe, and wouldn’t stop and tracking built into the browser.
In most Chromium-based browsers, goto the URL chrome://settings/onStartup and set the startup option to “Continue where you left off” (sometimes named “Open tabs from the previous session” or “Retain tabs from previous session”).
In Firefox, goto the URL about:preferences#general and check “Open previous windows and tabs”.

Doesn’t control what any browser does with your data and won’t have any effect unless the VPN blocks servers for the services of the browser.
