So I decided to use a VPN to play against the japanese meta. This was my first match

It was less laggy than I expected but that was probably because it was using the VPN servers rather than legends matchmaking servers.

I get a lot of matches against japanese players and I don’t use any VPN, I’m from France. But it happens mostly in the early morning. I think that you get matched worldwide, but with a priority to lower latencies.

“it was using the VPN servers rather than legends matchmaking servers” - that’s not how it works at all lol

i think legends is peer to peer, so it makes sense that the connection wouldn’t be awful as it’s going from the vpn server to the opponent

JP meta is very passive play oriented, you can tell if you watch a lot of Goresh’s showcase videos

Wait, how did UGB didn’t counter the ultimate of UG4? And did Omega Ultimate proc the buff cancel before? I AM confused can somebody exolain? I AM not that good at the Game honestly

Asians being good at video games is a harmful stereotype and looking for brownie points for winning against an Asian kid is weird

I meant that instead of it using internet servers set up in america, where I am, it used remote VPN servers set up in Japan so it wouldn’t have lag issues.

Yeah that’s basically it.

Omega removed beast’s buff effect removal and since beast’s gauge doesn’t activate if you have cover null, he didn’t counter ug4’s ultimate.

call him ubg please ugb sounds like gogeta blue or goku black

Never said anything about having this win as an accomplishment. I also never said anything about asians being good at video games. I just wanted to show my match but you interpreted it as “bad guy do bad thing to asian kid so now I need to say something to look good in front of everyone else.”

legends uses P2P connection meaning there are no servers when it comes to PVP, you connect straight to the other player. also, matchmaking is based on where your account was created so even if you’re in Japan (or using a VPN to pretend you are) you are still playing people in America/Europe/wherever else you live. Which means by using a VPN to connect to JP, you’re just giving yourself (and your opponent) a laggy match for absolutely 0 reason.

i think they may have changed that, a bit ago goresh was experiencing that issue where it was connecting to US players cause his account was created in the US but I think they fixed that.

Goresh created his account in america, and he moved to japan, yet gets connected to japanese players. So that part of your argument was wrong. And while your p2p might be right, I legends has never asked for your device’s location in order to play it, meaning it’d have to use internet server locations to determine where you live. And what’s a VPN? A private internet server that’d put you at any location of there world you choose to be. So if I choose to be in japan with my vpn, it’d match me up against japanese players

More evidence if you’re still not convinced.

it was fixed? i stand corrected then, disregard my comment

Damn, just saw this, so now my previous comments look ignorant :sob:
