Better to host your own vpn if you know how to do it
Why does the government want their data
Hey thats a good thing, so now we know this vpn can be trusted
so from now we have to use vpn to use express vpn… hue hue hue
If they’ve removed the VPN servers in India, does that mean we won’t be able to use their service at all? Or can we still connect to let’s say their Singaporean server and still use the VPN - albeit at a lower speed/ping?
Ultimately this is bad, as it gives precedence and a path forward for other countries to coerce VPN providers to cease operating.
What else shit is government thinking now ?
Huh
what will be next ?, handover your passwords ?
Tried to start a free trial with Express VPN. Idk why, but all my credit cards are declining transaction
Nord Vpn and Pure Vpn have denied the demands so most likely they will leave as well
What about hosting a Free VPN on Oracle’s free tier server with Open VPN, I’ve been seeing this for a few days now. Is this a good option ?
With such a state of joblessness, they are shutting down one office, and discouraging hundreds of future offices to be setup
The app is correct though
Not surprised. It was a moronic directive to begin with. Asking VPNs to store data is literally destroying what a VPN stands for in the first place. I am guessing everyone will deactivate their Indian servers as it doesn’t look good for them in global market if they are storing data for India while others are not.
Wtf our government want
They want all data From VPN companies then what’s the point of vpn?
What’s the cost of express VPN in India?
My grandmas left me watching taped Sesame Street on a VHS. The remainder of the tape had the end of Arachnophobia on it. Traumatised for life.
I have a question. What if I use vpn to change location to usa and then use a vpn in the states. Indian VPN will only have info that I used another VPN.
i don’t get it what’s the use of India vpn tho most of the stuff available in india is mostly available outside as well and more.
This was expected, specially knowing how many users were paid. It wasn’t about privacy, it was about the logs storage. They were basically told to have detailed logs and customer info(which they already do) for a prolonged period (6 months but I’m not sure). This added huge data storage cost making the business difficult.
Good job. Companies should resist this move.
