Someone Translate this Please, about perfect world, Valve should be alerted

Andersen is a 20 something years old, has no money. It’s kinda understandable he wants some quick money if given a chance.

It’s the gift that just keeps on giving

PerfectWorld achieved substantial benefits by riding the wave of popularity of the internet . After listing Class A shares on the NASDAQ exchange, it had achieved its core purpose [other similar companies include Sheng Da] and internal management started to consider how to achieve greater profit, with substantial infighting. Everyone was trying to get their cut of the benefits (everyone was trying to figure out how to get their cup of meat stew [what a wonderful expression]). Their focus shifted from understanding the customer’s needs so as to improve the customer experience, to grabbing a share of the profits. The in-fighting at this company has reached the point where it has become heart-breaking/depraved, and I’m going to explain it all in exhaustive detail from hereonout.

The Dota 2 program was allegedly strongly promoted by PerfectWorld CEO, Hong Xiao (Robert). As such, this aspect of PerfectWorld’s operations were subject to scrutiny of the highest level. Hong Xiao was originally the manager for HR in PerfectWorld, but was promoted to CEO because of his Wall Street background and his experience of being educated in the US, so as to complete the IPO/listing of PerfectWorld. This ruffled feathers among the members of Perfect group’s senior management, including the ex-CPO 竺琦 [I can’t be arsed to look up the pronunciation]. As a member of the PerfectWorld old guard with a track record that wasn’t bad/was quite good, 竺琦 wanted the CEO position and Hong Xiao’s promotion made him very unhappy. These 2 had a period of one year when they would not even greet/acknowledge each other when meeting face to face in the company. To placate 竺琦, Perfect gave him a position as “chief communications officer” (首席发行官), as well as the CPO position. You could say that the position of “chief communications officer” was created to satisfy 竺琦’s desire for recognition/status. If you baidu [chinese equivalent of google] “首席发行官”, the news links that appear are all about 竺琦. After becoming the chief communications officer, 竺琦 tried to get overall control over the Dota2 program (both to satisfy himself, as well as to provide a check/balance over Hong Xiao). But the person appointed to head the Dota 2 program within PerfectWorld, 蔡玮, was hand picked by Hong Xiao. This awkward situation resulted in 蔡玮exercising no power over/not participating in management of the Dota 2 program for almost a year, with 李亚娜 [Lee Ya Na, could be bastardised as Anna Lee I suppose] being the real leadership behind the program. 李亚娜 has since left Perfect. 李亚娜 was at Perfect for some time, and could be counted as one of the insiders/old guard/one of the family at PerfectWorld. To avoid getting into trouble/becoming involved with the politicking of his superiors, 蔡玮 let 李亚娜 do all the work, and this situation continued until Dota2 removed the requirement for an activation code [this appears to correspond to end of Public Beta for Dota2].

After Li An Na left her job, 竺琦 rushed [moved with the speed of fire] to put his emergency response team [fire brigade] into place, 邓佩, who had been the project lead for Jade Dynasty [another PerfectWorld game]. 蔡玮 continued to adopt an indifferent attitude. 邓佩 brought in his own project team, and they worked [schemed?] to take over all the work done by the previous project team. [Elf/Jing Ling], our protagonist, was one of the people that 邓佩 planned to replace. At the time, Elf was one of the people on the project team whose grasp of English was good, and as such had been placed in charge of communications and coordination with Valve. Of course, he wasn’t exactly the best at it, otherwise Dota 2 would have already achieve completion. The reason he managed to achieve this position was because Perfect couldn’t find any other suitable candidate for the job, in the moment. 邓佩’s replacement of Elf caused 蔡玮 to become more wary. Elf was 蔡玮’s close confidant [heart/chest]. With Elf replaced, 蔡玮 lost all control over the project [Dota 2],and 蔡玮 begged Hong Xiao for help. Cooincidentally, it was at this time that 竺琦 was investigated over an old case [OP doesn’t say what]. The 竺琦 focused on self-preservation, and this triggered an internal shuffle. 邓佩 was removed from the Dota 2 project team, with the rest of the project team being moved to Shanghai. The project was completely divorced from 竺琦,and it entered a state of independence [self governance].
