I am not interested in those locations but yet google keeps force feeding me news from those areas.
I am from Northern Ireland bar of setting my vpn to London how can a exclude story’s being feed on my Samsung s24 But I have no interest in news stories or feeds from the google app from Dublin
I am talking about the google app and also news
In the Google app the little 3 dot menu should have an option to not show that topic, it just a case of finding one that it identified the location as the topic of interest, alternatively if the ones you don’t want to see are from a local news site to Dublin you can just blacklist that news source as a whole

You probably clicked on one once and it decided you must care. Its pretty customizable though. Works well for me at least.
I’m going to guess that you’ve turned off Google tracking. If so, welcome to Google’s scam. They give you VERY specific, location information for somewhere near-ish but far enough to be unrelated and annoying.
Is it unrelated and annoying to have Google’s tracking off? Yep. That’s their scam.
Will give that a shot for time being ive been setting my location more to a london location vpn that way i still get news about NI as well
No I didnt I click on stories for Northern Ireland its cause of the Ireland part search engines an algorithms automatically asume.
People have no clue if a don’t want news a don’t want my country was torn apart and a avoid it as much as possible but cause of polical limits changed here obviously google up to its tricks
I’m not sure if maybe digging further into the Google setting will let you add specific topics you don’t want to see so may be worth having a little dig through I know there is a section to remove topics you have specified your not interested or are interested in just can’t remember if it gave the option to add more
You can also block specific news sites from showing up, if its usually ones that are specific to that location.
