I just received my notification for subscription renewal.
The price increased from $23.88 a year to $89.99!

SurfShark, have you lost your mind?
They offered me Surfshark ONE VPN package which adds: Alert, Search, and Surfshark Antivirus. $97.01 for 25 months. $4.04 a month, only a %100+ increase.
I had already said that part of the reason I was cancelling is the forced installation of antivirus with the Windows client 3.0. So they offer me antivirus.
I think the initial subscribers are in for a rude awakening. I can’t be the first one but haven’t seen other posts on the huge increase.
It’s sad, I really liked SurfShark and had promoted it to others.

Aw man. This VPN has really worked well for me, and I’ve been singing its praises to friends all around. But these sort of things have made me feel bad about it. Gotta watch out for this next year. Thanks for the post and friendly reminder!
Totally bites things are going this way. Like many of y’all, SharkSurf works super well for me, too.
Just looked at my rates page and looks like we’re all a lil different.
My subscription expires in 9/2022. As of now I’ve still got the option to extend the subscription for another 2 years for the same $60 price I paid last year. Anyone know when that option disappears? Possibly on the 1 year anniversary of the original subscription?
Mine showed the same a week ago. Today I received an email showing the new price of $89.99 / year. So, it’s going from $47.76 for 2 years to $179.98.

Also, if I sign up today (as a new customer) I would get two years for $59.76, then the same price annually after that (until they change their mind).
If I joined today I would get the same rate you posted, $2.49 a month / $29.88 a year. $60.11 less a year than what they wanted me to pay after being with them 2 years.
Not sure why they want to chase away existing users.
wow yeah thats already “Perfect Privacy VPN” level of Pricing that would 100% make me cancel sub.
I moved back to AirVPN at <$35 / year with the option of port forwarding for P2P.
I don’t care what SurfShark charges if the future. I don’t trust them any more.
