T-Mobile McAfee

I just upgraded my phone ( Samsung A32 to a pixel 8). Apparently I need to remove the McAfee license from the old phone before I can add it to the new one. How do I do that, can I just delete it?

McAfee is a big scam and damn near useless on Android. Do a factory reset on your old Samsung phone and thats it!!

On your new Pixel, configure a good DNS level adblocker (e.g. Free Adguard Public DNS) and don’t install random apks from untrusted sources.

Thanks all. I use a VPN (Surfshark] so I probably don’t need anything else.

I had a similar issue as well . What I ended up having to do was end up reaching out to McAfee, and then they were able to remove the license for me.

Please don’t use that junk on your phone. There’s a reason why they have conned Samsung into installing it on every new phone. And that’s so they can keep track of what we are doing on them. Delete that garbage

Whenever I setup someone’s new phone I always make sure to never install that McAfee garbage. Android has BUILT IN VIRUS PROTECTION. It won’t stop you from downloading a shitty malware “home” app, but neither will McAfee!

(Or any phone AV program for that matter)

I like RethinkDNS, does what you’re saying, BUT it can also prevent apps from going online if you don’t want them to.

The issue is that Samsung phones have inbuilt security from McAfee which is mighty sus…
