I have Xpenology on Proxmox working as Virtual Machine. As main connection I am using the added quad GbE card as 4x1GbE bond connection to switch/ Xpenology also have the VirtIO paravirtualized connection as second Ip adress. When I am downloading torrents I get my ISP IP number and always have problems with trackers no matter what torrent downloader I will use (I tried with opening ports but I think it all depends from my ISP). Sometimes it downloads one torrent with full speed but sometimes torrents can not get any connection to tracker or the download with couple kB/s. Is it possible to use f.ex Open VPN with Download Station (I use it because search engine and a lot of search modules). I also tried with Qbittorrent in DSM Docker but it had couple bugs. Transmission and Deluge were ok too, but they both dont have search engine. Could You help me to get best solution for me.
The qbittorrentvpn docker container is what you’re after. Don’t add it using the docker UI in DSM, either make a compose file or execute a CLI docker run command as root using the task scheduler. I have my task scheduler script written to include stopping, deleting, updating, and then running the container, so I just run it any time I want to pull down an update.
Edit: as far as searching goes, none of the download containers support that because that’s not what they’re for. If you don’t want a full on Sonarr or Radarr setup, you can put your indexers and downloaders into prowlarr and search/download with that web UI, or interface with it via nzb360.
