I’m unable to install NordVPN’s Kodi add-on because it uses Python 2.7.0, whereas LibreELEC has moved on to Python 3.0. Are there any add-ons for Kodi that would allow me to run Python 2.7.0 and be able to use my VPN? I’m hoping for a relatively easy fix.
I’m also open to other OS’s to run Kodi on, if that’s easier.

Oh, and below is how NordVPN suggests installing with Kodi, which I’ve confirmed with their support no longer works with LibreELEC:

You could try https://github.com/Zomboided/service.vpn.manager you’d need the kodi 19 pre release version, I don’t know if NordVPN is supported out of the box, but you can import .ovpn files into it, docs here https://github.com/Zomboided/service.vpn.manager/wiki

not an expert but u can try to install phyton 2.7 by using ssh
Easy fix. Open up the NordVPN zip file. Open the addon.xml file (I’m going off memory here). Look for the line that states 2.7.0. Change to 3.0.0. Save file and zip file. Then install the zip file.

Use the Zombioded addon. It works with 19.
Sorry for the late reply. I contacted NordVPN and I think the issue was a python update. If I remember right, OpenVPN had updated to a new version of python and Kodi hadn’t or the other way around. At the time there was no solution
Still generates an error stating it cannot fetch from Git.
That does not work, something else past 3.0.0 causes a problem.
