Im using vpn that supports Turkey and only have one google profile (my existing one) and Im trying to setup youtube premium via Turkey. I keep getting this error:
`Transaction declined. This purchase requires a payment method from your billing country. [OR_RECR_05]`
Ive been trying to use my chase visa card as it should be able to be used internationally with no charges.
You need to pay via apple pay/google pay so they can’t tell where the card that is paying is registered.
I had this scenario when I was registering for F1TV

Before i had a youtube premium plan through vpn and india. Now not working.
I also had a turkish payment profile and bought everything on google play including tinder, adobe etc with turkish prices. Now it wont let me. It says ‘check if you chose the right country in your play profile’ happened just recently and had been working for years

Second to what others have said, plus if you aren’t accessing YouTube, primarily using a Turkish VPN they will identify your traffic from your actual country and force you to switch to your local country.
dont bother you will underpay but the entire explore tab will be top song from that country
Had the same issue. You need a card from the country you’re trying to purchase from. In your case a Turkish issued card. I gave up because it wasn’t worth the hassle for me.
when I use turkish VPN for some reason it opens Great Britan Youtube for me and try to charge in pounds. (It’s the only website that does that, all others like Discord, Steam or IP Checkers all say I’m in Turkey)
Still having issues with this, I keep getting the same error as above, have tried Mastercard and visa but still no joy, tried turkey and Ukraine

Turkey, India and Argentina require that you pay using a debit/credit card from a bank located in those countries. No more international bank cards allowed. So these countries are a no-go, now, for cheap YT.
do I have to create new family accounts for youtube premium family turkey or can I invite accounts already existed and invited in a paid youtube premium family account of another european country withtout the new account from turkey not getting banned?

Is it still possible to switch from Argentina to Turkey or India? Do I have to create a new account or is it possible with an already existing subscription? I am trying with a Revolut VISA card, but I can not add my credit card.

Yeah they can definitely see where your card is from even if you do that. They communicate with your bank while taking the payment, regardless of the way you’re paying (Apple Pay, Google Pay, direct debit)
