That would basically reduce the power 5 conferences to the power 3 conferences, with the Big XII basically gone and the Pac12 losing a lot of relevance. I don’t know if it is good, but it will be only about the (football) money they can get…
The only thing that scares me about this is coverage being behind paywall. I didn’t have Pac 12 but it was easy for me to still find meets using a VPN + the international feed. I’m not sure if the Big 10 has the same ease?
Hopefully considering UCLA has by far the most followed team on social media there might be a change to how it’s covered once they join?
One other question, I wonder if USC has ever thought about reinstating their team? They haven’t had one since 1987 but a lot of changed since then.
