WHERE IS THE DAMN KILL SWITCH? AXT SLATE 1800 for a travel router.
The UI recently changed. This feature now is under VPN → VPN Dashboard and then click “global options” and then make sure “block non-vpn traffic” is turned on.
Also this doesn’t require all caps and swearing yes its a little confusing the UI changed but it took me about 2 mins to figure it out, without consulting docs or freaking out.
Hiya Mate,
Follow the instructions in that picture you posted, and once you get to the VPN Dashboard, click on Global Options, and then you should see it there. Here is a screenshot from my end.

But this is Reddit. Where most redditors are unregulated, spoon fed man babies
I see this, so do I select Block Non VPN Traffic – but no where does it say that it disconnects from the internet if the VPN gets dropped.
Also, do you do this setting on the Wireguard Client or the Wireguard server?
You turn it on on the client router. It does exactly what it says. As soon as there’s no VPN connection, no traffic gets passed.
That’s exactly what it does–block any traffic that is not from a VPN. You are welcome to test it.
As for the client or server side, this depends on your VPN configuration / provider.
Having a rough day with the admin panel, I can’t even seem to connect to my own home wifi through the admin screen. It says my repeater is off.
Doing the two router setup with Wireguard
I use one Glinet router that’s plugged into my home router as the Wireguard server.
The second Glinet router is what I would use while travelling as the Wireguard client and connect it with Ethernet. So when I connect through that, it shows my home IP
I haven’t a clue what that is or means. Can you elaborate?
Ah, I see. Cheers for the explanation.
I won’t comment on this because I’m not familiar with it, and I only use my glinet for travelling and as a standalone router.
