UltraAV is ultra nuisance!!! I found it extremely difficult to uninstall. I had to finally use revouninstaller! Even after that I could not remove it from program files directory. And Dracula comes back!!! So I had to go into safe mode to blow the directory. And had to use registry cleaners to clean its remaining junk! Even then it still left some unremovable registry junk. If you guys are really really genuine you would not make it this impossible to uninstall if one doesn’t like your software. So you are outright lying!!!
Pango Group owns several consumer-facing cybersecurity brands like Hotspot Shield and Betternet, which have faced criticism in the past for logging user data despite marketing claims of privacy. Yes the engine supporting UltraAV has been developed and improved over 20 years. We have completed a private test of the engine and are in discussions with the major labs to kick off public tests. Results should be available by the end of the year. Analysts working for trusted technology publications are also in the process of reviewing the product, and those reviews should be published very soon.
We are aware of issues that users are experiencing while uninstalling UltraAV and are sorry for the inconvenience it has caused some users. Our engineers have been actively working to resolve these issues and an update will be released shortly that we expect will resolve most uninstall issues.
Neither Pango Group nor any of its brands log data that can be tied back to users. We recently completed third party privacy audits for Pango Group’s VPN products, which confirmed that the company does not log identifiable user data. You can review the summaries of these audits on Pango Group’s website here.
Publish your internal test results at a minimum. It’s not as good as independent testing – which you should have had already in the 20 years of supposed development – but to not have any data at all is completely unacceptable.
yes but you do log anonymous data then engage in data aggregation and de-identification correct? , using insights for legitimate business purposes like research, compliance, and marketing efforts. This kind of aggregated data can be sold or shared with partners for analytics and advertising purposes, while avoiding direct identification of users
