This is annoying!
The “security of my connection?” It’s no different than it was 10 minutes ago! And I am still human 10 minutes later, last I checked!
Is anyone else seeing this as well? Or is it just “picking on me?” Or maybe I should start using another LLM? Perplexity works well for me otherwise.
Irony is, I could very easily write a bot to “click the button” if I actually wanted to scrape the site. But hey, with all the APIs for LLMs out there, as well as Hugging Face, etc, why bother?
Any ideas would be helpful.
It could be that the IP you’re using has been used before for accessing this website and hence the site is now flagging it. A possible workaround could be using residential proxies. I use Bright Data’s residential proxies, they are ethically sourced and have pay-as-you-go options for small requirements and you’ll get a lot of customization options as well.
Are you using a VPN? I use a VPN and never had a cloudflare issue.
This has never happened to me before tonight. It started asking for a CAPTCHA just as I toggled iCloud Private Relay or used a VPN.

Hey u/Latter-Question9636! Could you please send me more details, your ASN, and also if you are using a VPN, please try switching the hotspot/location or the VPN provider.
It hates VPNs, apparently. Why should it care? The smart money uses VPNs these days.
It is entirely possible. I have run into this problem so many many many times before.
Hey u/el_toro_2022! Thanks for reporting, some VPNs are blocked or get filtered if some bad traffic is coming from certain providers, especially popular ones. If you are facing such an issue with your VPN, please try switching the hotspot/location, that should help.
I did try switching. No dice. I am using a US IP. Maybe I should try a European one.
Or maybe I should bite the bullet and go full IPv6.
