I had the same problem a couple of times last week on my M4 iPad. Then it went back to normal. I’ve read about various people.

I’ve downloaded a few apps recently and it was going really slow for me too. Even with VPNs off and gigabit internet.

I take it as a sign that if the company can’t afford good servers, they probably got shitty customer service as well and even shittier app.

Nah (the vpn is deleted from my phone) and by some miracle it got fixed (somewhat) now they only download if theres the “get” button with the Face ID confirmation. While if its the cloud icon it does the hour long download

Yup! VPNs don’t need these apps to run or even manage. A VPN tunnel is created (check Settings) and that can be toggled and managed independently.

These apps make it easy to add and manage a VPN but most are bloatware or try to siphon user data “to make their products better.”

I think i found the cause

So i tried with the VPN and it downloaded just fine, then i tried with my neighbors wifi, and worked/downloaded just fine aswell

BUTTTT when i try with MY wifi and my mobile data it always fucks up, im suspecting the ISP throttling or limiting my wifi speed

When you download an app from the App Store it’s coming from Apple’s servers not the app maker. But your comment still stands, the store has never had breakneck download speeds

That’s weird hopefully you figure it out
