Why does Godaddy block logging in when I use VPN?

I started using a VPN a year ago and now I can’t login to the site to manage my domains.
I’m probably going to transfer them to a registrar that allows VPN if I can’t get this resolved.

face the same problem and can’t login the website. fuck the godaddy, take my money and do nothing.

I found a new work around for using my Go Daddy email with my VPN. Instead of logging in using the Go Daddy website, Go to www.office.com and log directly into Microsoft 365. That works with VPN on. Then click on the Outlook icon on the left side of the screen, and it opened my email right up!

I been beating my head against the wall trying to figure this issue out lately. Apparently I tried enough times the universe heard me and an Outlook App just appeared on my desk top one day, probably with a windows update. Now I have the outlook app pinned to my task bar, and it doesn’t have any issues connecting and reading my Godaddy email while on VPN. Yay!

I log in fine almost every day on a VPN

I see the same thing when;

  1. I connect with my iPhone hotspot
  2. I use McAfee VPN
  3. Result - “you do not have permission to access this server”
  4. Turn off McAfee VPN - login without issue

I use TorGuard VPN and have to disconnect it when I log in to my GoDaddy account because a message says something to the effect of “Your browser is weird!”, and one of the options to try is to “disconnect your VPN”. The main reason for using a VPN is to make sure your data is encrypted, round-trip, between you and the URLs you connect to. How much more should the VPN be able to be running than when you’re logging into your domain name provider/registrar?

This only worked the first time. Now when I try to log into Microsoft 365 it redirects me to the damn go daddy login and that won’t work with VPN. So frustrating!

Hey, necroposting but, if you can log in to godaddy with your VPN on, then your VPN might not be so secure, be careful.

This is the same thing I was getting. And F that! I ditched their sorry asses last week. Never again with shite service.

I’m having the same issue. What service did you switch to then? I need this email for my business.

I went with Namecheap

Ask about their ditch godaddy promotion. If they still have it, it’s a good 1st year discount

I’m now pausing my VPN, logging in, then turning my VPN back on. That’s not ideal, but works for now.
