Why does it ask for a captcha every time I search?

Every time I google search I have to solve a captcha. I’m not sure what could be causing this and it says my searches are getting flagged?? I don’t believe any of the reasons they suggest apply. Any help or advice greatly appreciated!

Are you connected to a VPN? I always have to do a captcha when I’m connected to mine.

Also please let us know if Costco is cheaper online or not

I get this a lot connected to Apple relay. It’s when there is a lot of activity from the same host name or IP address. It’s a security check.

Sounds like you’re on a shared network where too much traffic is coming from one ip

Yeah I turned off the private relay and it stopped asking this

I notice this happen a lot when using VPN or searching with quotations etc.

Your ISP probably uses cgnat, and your external ip is shared across all node customers. Google in this case probably flagged that IP for suspicious activity, so it asks for a captcha. I’ll go away eventually.

Most cheap ISPs share a singular IP between many computers, and one of them is botting.

I usually encounter this when using VPN to surf something

this can happen for a lot of non-nefarious reasons. If certain operators are used ( inurl for instance), I get that

I get this same if I use vpn

Most probably your using a VPN or connected to a Router that is using a VPN

It can be from using a VPN but it can also be if you’re sharing an IP address/ip address space with others, some of whom are using bots (automated browsing/searching) as well as DDOS like traffic - this also applies to VPN of course and is the most common way you can be sharing a ip or address space. I get it with my VPN but I don’t have to do a captcha, just tick the box, but I am logged into my Google account.

I had to do 40 in a row once when using a VPN

No idea just try a different browser??

Are you actually a robot in denial?

AI: Yes, Costco prices are generally higher online compared to in-store. This is mainly due to the additional shipping and handling fees that are often included in the online prices. While some high-ticket items like electronics might have similar prices both online and in-store, many smaller items tend to be cheaper when purchased directly from the warehouse…

Put your phone in airplane mode and wait 20 secs then try again, should reset your IP. I had this before trying to log into GiffGaff

I don’t know but the last time I got this is because I was testing automation projects in my network
