Why is it so hard to log in to the account, even with a US VPN?

I understand other countries/regions are not served, but why are we not even allowed to log in to check stuff? It would say, “Login failed. Please check your information and try again,” despite password is correct? This is insane.

Vudu is a geo-restricted streaming service. It means it only broadcasts its content in America. If you try to approach the website from a different location using a VPN, the trackers on Vudu can identify you as a foreigner and blocks your VPN.

So what, people like me who move away from the US have lost thousands and thousands of dollars worth of movie rights we’ve purchased throughout the years?

That’s happening to me with nordvpn and chromecast. (Using ipad is fine).
I think there are specific servers that Vudu is not blocking.

What a scrooge. Then it’s not serving Americans stranded overseas

You gotta use something like “smart DNS proxy” instead of a VPN service. That’s what I use.

Thanks. I would only buy free stuff on there. Not to mention their lack of multilingual subtitles.

Vudu isn’t not allowed to - the rights holders are the studios, they set the restrictions.

Everybody downvoting you hasn’t been in the situation. This is my second trip to Asia in as many years and not being able to watch my own library even with a VPN is completely asinine.

It appears Movies Anywhere can be a temporary solution. You share your Vudu purchase at the former and it won’t reject VPN too much. MA does seem to require a good location for Chromecast, but I am fine with mobile and desktop browser

That’s good to know for the future, thanks. Unfortunately MA doesn’t allow you to watch your TV library which ot what I am usually watching. I did get it working on a PC/browser (also on my phone/browser in desktop mode) using ExpressVPN connected to the USA. Unfortunately Surfshark just wasn’t cutting it.
