Not sure how accurate this is. The iOS app doesnt have servers in Greece for example

I am pretty sure Mullvad doesn’t own any servers in the USA.

The android app doesn’t let you filter between mullvad owned servers or rented ones. I had to get this from my computer. I wonder why they don’t own any USA servers and only rent them? Nevertheless I love Mullvad.

iOS and Android are WireGuard, not OpenVPN. The server in Greece is for OpenVPN. So if this map is showing OpenVPN, WireGuard, and Bridge, then it’d be accurate.

Edit: 2/12/23 - Mullvad has 4 new RAM servers in Greece. Two 10Gbps OpenVPN, and WireGuard servers from hosting provider DataPacket.

they dont have any atm. i send them an email asking when if etc . the response was “its on our plans but no eta”

Alaska is a part of the US and this map goes by country.

I don’t think the post is even claiming that. It shows all the servers, not just the owned ones.

What filtering do you have applied?

I filter for 31173, Blix, Creanova (Owned servers) & xtom (most reliable rented servers)

When I saw “Mullvad servers” it gave me that impression. It’s on me for assuming that meant ownership, I see your point.

I only recently realized all the USA servers were rented. That being the case some of those servers being rented may keep logs maybe? By owning servers does that not ensure all mullvad’s policies are enforced, because it is theirs? My thinking ran along the lines of Mullvad can’t tell the people/companies they are renting from what they can and can’t do. I’m fairly new to VPNs so I very well be way off base.

looking at it on my phone screen I couldn’t see Singapore or HK but on my pc I see them, also from memory i thought there were Mexico and SK locations too but I was wrong
