I saw the offer during lunch. But as I was eating with my colleagues. So I closed the app and wanted to renew my subscription later. But now when I open the app the offer isn’t available anymore and I have to pay full price. Is it normal?
FYI to those just coming to this thread, Strava appears to have shut down the ability to gift a subscription without logging in (at least in certain countries)

When I switch to vpn and use the Send a gift option it is asking me to login again. How do you work around this?

Alrighty, I JUST got this to work, but it was a pain turning the VPN on and off. Steps below:
* On a Mac, I created an account with Proton VPN (I’m sure you could use any comparable service)
* Connected to Brazil
* Created a new Strava account in an InCognito browser
* Disconnected VPN (back to US)
* Clicked on “Send a Gift”
* Once I was on the gift landing page, I turned the VPN on again and connected to Brazil
* At this point I was able to go through and purchase in Brazilian Real and gift to my other account
* Once the purchase was successful, I once again disabled my VPN and redeemed the gift.
* Profit.

Garmin provides much more data and it’s free. If you use a garmin of course.
